Valentine’s Day for DogsHenry
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, whether you have a date or not, we wholeheartedly support you treating your pup to some Valentine’s Day pampering. It is a day that is built around showing your loved ones how much you care about them, our four legged friends are perhaps the most deserving of this (probably more so than our partners 😉 We have come up with a list of ideas for how to spoil your pet best:
1. Sometimes the simple things are the nicest ways to show some love to our dogs.
Curl up on the couch with doggo and have a nice snuggle in front of a dog friendly movie. Doggo loves nothing more than a bit of cuddle time, and who doesn’t love a good dog themed movie? Some of our favorite classic movies in this category are: 101 Dalmatians, Lassie and Homeward Bound.
2. Take doggo on a special hike.
We all know how much our dogs love walking, but instead of giving them a regular walk, why not research a cool hike and try something new. Dogs love exploring new areas, new smells and new territory. At the end of a good hike doggo will feel great and so will you. We all know a tired dog is a happy dog. A new hike has the added benefit of also being a great couple of hours out for you.
3. Give doggo some new tasty dog treats.
We often exchange sweet treats with our loved ones on Valentine’s Day, why not do something similar for pooch. Try finding doggo some new treats for them to enjoy.
Some of the best organic dog bakeries that we’ve visited recently with our pup are:
4. Go one step further than just treats; take your dog out for dinner.
There are loads of dog friendly places to eat around Los Angeles. You may get some very jealous looks from other Valentine dates around you, doggo has that effect. Some dog friendly places are even offering dog friendly menus now.
5. Get pooch some new toys or a new wardrobe.
We of course would recommend any of our leather dog collars or leashes, they’re beautiful, well made and will draw a lot of compliments https://www.gauchogoods.com/product-category/leather-collars/. You could also try some of our new nylon collars and leashes. We’ve designed 20 fun patterns to help get pooch looking great. Aside from the patterns looking great, we also spent a good deal of time getting the right hardware onto our nylon leashes. The clips are metal and sturdy; the front of the clips also has enough space for your dogs name to be engraved. Meanwhile, our leashes have a great lockable clip that secures onto the collar. They also have a sturdy neoprene handle that makes walking doggo very comfortable.
